Submit a PROBABLE prediction

Feel free to include html constructs whereever you want. to.

Your name

If you have a WWW home page, please make your name a link to your home page.

email

Please put your email address in the space below. If nothing else, it will help identify prophets uniquely! While this is optional, I often need to discuss predictions further, and if you don't supply an email address, I can't - this may make it seem as though your prediction has been lost to the world.

Prediction

A simple sentence describing the crux of what you are predicting. (For example, "Microsoft will go broke.")

Objective measurement

Provide some way of determing whether your prediction has come true or not, which is entirely objective - you ji A good guide would be to consider turning your prediction into a yes-no question which could be asked on the "prediction expiry date". For example, in 2010, I will ask, "Has Microsoft filed for bankruptcy?"

The sort of thing that is useless is a prediction of the form "There will be civil unrest in Canada." (What constitutes "unrest"? 100 000 troops involved in civil war? One shot fired? Angry letters to the editor?)

When

This should be some date, if possible. (For example, December 31st 2010) Note that most predictions are of the form "such and such will happen before such and such date". The only exception would be something like "person X will die before person Y".

In summary, there needs to be an objectively measurable time limit for your prediction. (Since nearly all predictions come true in some form eventually.)

Why

Almost anything you feel like saying can go here! How did you arrive at your prediction? Consulting the book of Daniel? Observing the stars? Discussing it with your next door neighbour?

Anything that seems relevant to the subject is worth including here.

(If this doesn't work, email me the whole thing. There have been countless problems over the last couple of months with cgi-scripts, so I wouldn't be suprised).
