PROBABLE Prediction 2035.1 [PENDING]

Prediction:

Charities will not be providing food for the poor in 2035.

Objective measurement:

The Salvation Army will have closed down its last permanent soup kitchen before this date.

When:

December 31, 2035

Why:

Nanotechnology will be so cheap, and so available by then, that good "cooked" food will cost only a few fractions of a cent per tonne. In the same way that we now consider public telephone boxes a necessity for a modern city, people will petition local councils to do the same with food printers. Why do I believe nanotechnology will be so cheap by then? Consider the size of a computer 40 years ago....

Further comments:

None.
